Reflection – Romans 8:24-28 – All Things Work For Our Good

Romans 8:24-28

Verse – Romans 8:24-28

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Reflection – Romans 8:24-28 – All Things Work For Our Good

When you create goals for yourself you normally target things you don’t have yet. You set your eyes on things that are not physically real but yet you hope against all logic that one day it will be real. That is what we do as Christians.

The beautiful future prepared for us by God is not visible to the naked eye but the hope that we have in salvation through Jesus Christ keeps us on the right paths to this wonderful afterlife.

The Holy Spirit also bears witness with our spirits and intercedes for us in prayer because we don’t know what lies in wait for our physical future. We may be praying for a car but God will know that we probably need a healthy liver so he gives us that instead.

Strengthen your relationship with God by knowing his words concerning your life and living according to his directions. This is the only way we can stay on that glorious road to our beautiful spiritual future.

He says that everything we see in our physical world will work together for our benefit if we love him. This is great news.
