About the Founder
Hi there, I am Wendee.
Over 10 years ago, a prophet told me that I had a calling to do the work of God. To be honest, I didn’t believe it or even give it much thought. In my mind, doing the work of God meant becoming a pastor, and I had no desire to be one. I simply couldn’t see how that prophecy could apply to me.
What I did know was that I loved writing.
I’ve wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I started writing in primary school, and it was the one thing I always found myself coming back to. As the years went by, I continued writing for my lifestyle blog because writing was what I enjoyed and what I felt called to do.
Then, at the start of 2020, I made a New Year’s resolution to read the entire Bible. I began reading Scripture every day and spending time in daily devotion. Before long, I noticed something happening. The writer in me wanted to write about what I was learning from God’s Word. I wanted to share the prayers, devotionals, and Bible verses that were encouraging and challenging me.
That was how The Graceful Chapter was born.
What started as a simple desire to share my faith journey grew into something I never expected. Over the years, it has been a blessing to reach millions of people through prayers, devotionals, Bible studies, and Scripture-based encouragement.
Then one day, it hit me.
I was doing the work of God, just as the prophet had said all those years ago.
The difference was that God’s plan didn’t look anything like I thought it would. I had assumed that answering His call would require changing careers or stepping behind a pulpit. Instead, God chose to use the gift He had already placed inside me. He used my love for writing, my platform, and my desire to encourage others through His Word.
That experience taught me something I will never forget: our human understanding is limited, but God’s plans are not. Sometimes we think we know what a calling should look like, only for God to accomplish it in a way we never imagined.
Today, The Graceful Chapter is my way of using the gifts God has given me to serve Him and encourage others in their faith. My prayer is that every person who visits this site leaves feeling strengthened, encouraged, and reminded of God’s grace, faithfulness, and love.
