Verse – Psalm 103:19-20
The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules overall. Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
Reflection – Psalm 103:19-20 – God Rules All
When you sit very high up, you normally see everything that happens below you. Nothing is hidden from that vantage point. In the same way, God sits high above all, and He sees everything that happens on earth, every good decision, every hidden struggle, every silent prayer, and even the things we think go unnoticed.
This truth can feel both comforting and challenging. Comforting because we are never alone, God sees us, He knows us, and He understands what we go through. Challenging because it reminds us that our lives are always before Him. There is no part of us we can hide, no moment that escapes His attention.

Psalm 103 reminds us that God’s throne is established. That means His authority is not temporary, not uncertain, and not shaken by anything happening around us. He rules over all; circumstances, people, seasons, and outcomes. Even when life feels out of control, God is still in control.
Sometimes we forget this. We get caught up in what we see, what we feel, and what we cannot understand. We try to take matters into our own hands, or we question whether God is really working behind the scenes. But this scripture gently calls us back to truth: God’s rule is absolute.
What stands out even more in these verses is how God describes those who obey Him. He calls them “mighty ones.” Not necessarily the loudest, the most visible, or the most celebrated but those who do His bidding and obey His word.
That means there is strength in obedience. There is greatness in choosing God’s way, even when it is difficult. There is power in surrendering your will to His.
Wouldn’t you want to be counted among the mighty? Not by the world’s standard, but by God’s? Wouldn’t you want your life to reflect obedience, faithfulness, and a willingness to follow Him wherever He leads?
Being God’s servant is not about being perfect; it is about being willing. It is about waking up each day and choosing to align your heart with His. It is about allowing His Word to guide your decisions, your speech, and your actions.
And the beautiful thing is this: God has given each of us the choice. He does not force us. He invites us. He calls us into a life of purpose, a life where we are part of His divine plan.
When we choose to obey Him, we step into something greater than ourselves. We begin to walk in His grace, His favour, and His covering. We begin to reflect Him in ways that impact not just our lives, but the lives of others around us.
So today, pause and remember, God sees you. He knows where you are and what you are going through. And more than that, He is inviting you to trust His rule and walk in obedience to His Word.
You are not overlooked. You are chosen.

Thank You for the gift of life today. Thank You for being a God who sees all and rules over all. I am grateful that nothing in my life is hidden from You and that You care about every detail.
Lord, I ask for the grace to do Your bidding. Help me to obey Your Word, even when it challenges me. Strengthen my heart so that I may choose Your will above my own desires.
Teach me to trust in Your authority and not be overwhelmed by what I see around me. Remind me daily that You are in control and that Your plans for me are good.
Let my words and actions reflect Your heart. Let my life be a testimony of Your grace and goodness. Guide my steps, align my thoughts, and help me to live a life that is pleasing to You.
And Lord, may my days on earth be filled with the evidence of Your blessings and the joy of walking closely with You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
