Verse – Revelation 5:3-5
But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.
Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Reflection – Revelation 5:3-5 – The Lamb That Was Slain
This text tells us that nothing and no one can save us from sin and the devil except Jesus Christ. No one in heaven, on earth, or under the earth was able to open the scroll. John revealed himself crying because of this.
John stands for man, and his tears stand for man’s helpless call for salvation. Even today people are roaming around looking for solutions to problems in their lives. Some people go as far as trading their souls just to find something they are looking for.
John reveals that the tears of man are no longer necessary because there has been an ultimate sacrifice that has brought the Maker even closer to his children.
When a father is with his children they should no longer fear evil because he will protect them. Christ has already saved you and you need not look anywhere else for salvation.

Declaration
I will no longer weep for myself for my debts have already been paid through the Lamb of God. Even though I was not worthy of forgiveness, he has brought me back to my father like the prodigal son.
Prayer
Dear Lord in heaven
Thank you for your endless love in my life
Thank you for the Lamb that was slain for me
I pray that you strengthen my body and spirit to live for you
Let me not be deceived and misdirected
Grant me joy and peace in my life
and never let me depart from you
Amen
