Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Matthew 18:19-20
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
A party is typically a gathering of like-minded individuals who share common interests, aspirations, beliefs, disappointments, and perspectives. A Christmas party, however, is a unique gathering of people united by the belief that a part of God came down from heaven to sacrifice Himself for the sins of mankind.
The birth of Christ is a symbol of God’s love and unwavering commitment to humanity. It represents His acceptance of and reunion with mankind after their disobedience in the Garden of Eden.
Despite man’s transgression, God was determined to draw near to His people. Throughout history, He allowed humanity to encounter Him in various ways. Those who were pure of heart and full of faith in Him received His blessings and experienced the fullness of His love.
Conversely, those who rejected Him, as Adam did in Eden, opened the door for the devil to enter their lives, bringing destruction and allowing evil to reign on the earth.
Even today, those who make themselves available to God are embraced and loved by Him. He uses them to accomplish His work and blesses them abundantly. To be part of God’s “party” is to be marked for eternal life with the Father, a joyous invitation to live in harmony with His purpose and to experience His boundless grace.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity
Psalm 133:1
During a Christmas party, the children of the kingdom come together to celebrate the birth of Christ. It is important to understand the purpose of this gathering.
At birthday celebrations, people often reflect on the past year, assessing their personal growth and relationships. They pause to evaluate whether they have progressed in various aspects of their lives, whether their connections with others have strengthened or weakened, and whether they have positively impacted those around them and the people they’ve encountered.
Similarly, at a Christmas party, which is a celebration of Christ’s birth, it is an opportunity to reflect on your life as a follower of Christ. Take time to assess how far you have grown as a Christian.
Consider how your faith has influenced others: how many people you have helped, how many you have taught, how many souls you have won for Christ, and whether your life has been an exemplary testimony of Christian values.
A party is a joyous occasion, a time to celebrate and enjoy, but it is also a moment to reflect. Prayers during a Christmas party are necessary, as they allow God to remind you of your responsibilities as a Christian and help you evaluate whether you have lived in alignment with His teachings over the past year.
This event is not only about celebration but also about sharing experiences, offering encouragement, listening to each other’s struggles, and supporting one another. In doing so, the true spirit of Christmas shines through, a time of reflection, connection, and growth in faith and community.

Self reflection prayer
Dear Lord,
We are thankful for this gathering. Help us to reflect and show us the way. Let us look back on how we have lived, acknowledging that we are not perfect.
If there is anyone we have wronged in the past year, please soften their hearts with kindness and understanding. If we have disobeyed you in the past year, search our hearts and guide us to correct our mistakes.
Give us a change of heart, Lord. Let us be humble. Through your blessings, keep us grounded and grant us the spirit of humility.
Help us to mend our ways. Remind us of where we came from and of what we have lost, so we may learn and grow. Let us not be prideful but remain steadfast in your grace.
Keep us in your body and under your everlasting care.
Amen.
Prayer for unbelievers
Father Lord,
Thank you for making this gathering possible and for the lives of everyone present. Only you truly know what is in each of our hearts. Only you know who the true believers are among us.
Today, we lift up in prayer the unbelievers among us. Lord, help them to see your light, to recognize your grace, and to feel your hand guiding their lives.
Let them come to know that you love them deeply, that you sent your Son to save them. This Christmas, grant them the gift of redemption. Break the chains that bind them and free them from the shackles of sin.
Give them the Good News, Lord. Give them a new life filled with your presence, and let today be the last day they remain in unbelief.
Amen.
Prayer for struggling believers
Dear Lord,
Thank you for bringing us together to celebrate Christmas as one. We are grateful for this gathering and the opportunity to share in your love and grace.
Today, we intercede for struggling believers. Lord, please come through for them in their struggles. Do not let the devil reach them or shake their faith. Save them from whatever is rocking their trust in you, and keep them from falling into unbelief.
Help them to see through the darkness and find your light. Better their lives, answer their prayers, and fill them with hope. Bless the work of their hands and grant them courage to share their burdens.
Let us be a source of encouragement for them. Give them strength to endure and let them discover your perfect plan for their lives. Remind them that you still care deeply for them, even in their moments of doubt.
Lord, do not let them fall by the wayside. Guide them back to you and to the comfort of your love.
Amen.
Prayer for the sick
Dear Lord,
We thank you for this lovely gathering and for the joy of coming together to celebrate. Yet, we recognize that not everyone could join in this merry-making.
Today, we lift up in prayer the sick among us. We pray for those confined to their sick beds, for those in hospitals, and for all who cannot be here because of illness. Lord, we ask that you break every chain of disease holding them captive.
We pray for complete healing in their bodies. Renew every cell and restore them to health. We speak strength and vitality into their bones and power into their being. Break all demonic chains of sickness that may bind them, and let this Christmas season be one of miraculous healing.
May the birth of your Son bring them freedom. Sever any ties they may have to generational curses, cancel every demonic contract written in their name, and destroy any unholy bonds that have been placed upon them. Reverse every evil process that seeks to claim their lives, and grant them the grace to live in strength and health always.
Amen.
Prayer for strong faith
Father Lord,
At this Christmas party, we come before you with humble hearts, asking that you strengthen our faith. Keep us grounded in you, no matter what the next year may bring.
We pray that you keep us strong through the strong winds of life, through uncertainties, through sickness, and through difficult times. Stand with us through false witnesses, lies spoken against us, and deceit we may encounter. Help us persevere through all challenges and trials.
Lord, we ask that you stand behind us, guiding and upholding us, and cause us to grow in strength and faith through it all.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

A Christmas party should be a gathering of people who love God and each other. Christ came to reconcile the world to God, and so Christmas is a time for people to come together. It is a time for peace and good will toward all men, a time to bury differences and move forward in harmony.
As the verse says, those who gather in His name bring His presence. And as God is in our midst, we must speak to Him. Share with Him how thankful you are and what you desire from Him.
Let Christmas gatherings bring joy and renewed hope to those in Christ. May those who come to Christmas parties never leave with sadness, but rather with newfound joy and hope for the future.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
