“‘But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness and their hostility toward me, which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies—then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they pay for their sin, I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. For the land will be deserted by them and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. They will pay for their sins because they rejected my laws and abhorred my decrees. Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them. I am the Lord their God. Prayer for hope in bad times

Merciful Lord,
I come before you today to humbly ask that you give me hope.
Father, with everything going on in my life I feel hopeless and helpless
But I know and believe that you Lord, are the hope for the hopeless.
So I’m at your feet today, Lord. I can’t do this on my own. I need you, Lord.
I pray that you send down your Holy Spirit to come and fill me with hope and strength.

Help me to keep my eyes on you and not on my problems
Help me to think of your goodness in my life and not think of my problems.
Be my light when everything turns dark.
Be my hope when I’m weak.
Order my steps Lord and give me patience and hope for the future.
When doubt begins to creep into my heart, remind me that you are with me, and you are still in control.
Thank you for all that you do for me,
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen
