Reflection – John 15:18-20 – Spread The Word Regardless

Verse – John 15:18-20

Verse – John 15:18-20

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Reflection – John 15:18-20 – Spread the word regardless

True followers of Christ are not of the world just as Christ was not of this world. When you don’t belong somewhere it’s difficult to make friends there or be heard when you try to speak. You may have the wisest thing to say but people who are set in their ways and already enjoy the wrong things that they do will not care for anything that you are saying.

However, as Christians, we must never be discouraged from spreading the gospel of Christ because they may be some amongst the wicked who would want to hear it and save their souls. This is why God has sent you to preach to the sick in body and the sick in spirit.

The sick in spirit may not know or accept that they are sick but the word of God which is like a two-edged sword can cause redemption and salvation. Remember what unbelievers did to Christ and his disciples. If they did that to him then they will do the same to you. The Lord is your strength through it all so never feel alone when you reach out to the spiritually lost.

Dear Lord
Give me the strength to do your will
Grant me the faith of the apostles
Let nothing discourage me from spreading your word
Let me press on and never give up on your word no matter what

And let me lead people to Your holy paradise
