Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Reflection – Isaiah 54:10 – God’s Love Is Strong And Unconditional
The Lord declares that his love for you is stronger and more stable than a mountain or a hill. This means that he will always love and be there for you no matter what.
Sometimes as humans we meet people and love them the way we can. As soon as they do something we don’t like, our love for them starts failing and wavering. We do not appreciate them the same way we did before. We may even withhold some privileges we used to afford them because of our love for them.
But that isn’t what God does. Though we may think ourselves unworthy of his love and touch he still wants to touch and bring us closer to him. Though we might be as dirty as a pig returning from a mud bath, he still wants to embrace us and cleanse us from our dirt. Do not feel unworthy or undeserving of his love in any way but always know that he will always be there for you no matter what.
