A Thanksgiving Prayer Of Praise

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Psalm 103:1

Let praise be a constant part of your life, a daily response to God’s goodness. Sing praises to the Lord, remembering all He has done for you. Imagine if you had to pay God for each blessing: for waking you up every morning, providing for your needs, protecting you, and forgiving your sins. Could anyone truly afford it?

Yet God requires none of this from us. Instead, He asks only for our heartfelt praise in return for His boundless love and mercy. This Thanksgiving, as we gather around the table, we’re surrounded by loved ones, each with their own stories and reasons to be grateful. Every life is a testament to God’s goodness.

So, join hands at your table, and offer a Thanksgiving prayer of praise to the Lord for His unending grace. Together, let’s honor Him for every blessing He’s poured into our lives.

A Thanksgiving Prayer Of Praise

Lord God,
On this Thanksgiving Day, we gather to thank You for all that You are and all that You do for us. We are grateful for the gifts of good health and safety, for the friends by our side, the roof over our heads, and the meal we are about to share.

Thank You for our work and the blessings You pour into our efforts each day. We praise Your holy name for the countless wonders You perform in our lives, for Your love, and for Your unchanging faithfulness. We magnify You, Lord, because You are worthy of all honor and praise.

We humbly ask that You guide and protect each one of us. Fill our hearts with joy and happiness, and help us to be a reflection of Your love to others. May Your will be done in our lives today and always, aligning our hearts with Your purpose.

Through Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
