Reflections – Isaiah 30:21 – Listening To God’s Voice
One of the most difficult things for anyone to do is to make a decision on anything at all in life. This is because our human mind and knowledge are limited and so we do not know what the results of said choice will be. So we analyze, rethink, and go back and forth, caught in the struggle of choosing the right path, unsure of the outcomes our choices might bring
The good news is that Jesus sent down the Holy Spirit to be our guide (John 14:15-31), offering us divine wisdom beyond our own understanding. So all you have to do is to avail yourself for the Holy Spirit to take charge of you and teach you what to do and what not to do. By inviting the Holy Spirit to lead you, you can find clarity and direction. When you open your heart to God, making Him your consultant and guide, He faithfully shows you the right path.
One verse that highlights this truth is Isaiah 30:21. This verse assures us that no matter which way we turn, the voice of the Lord will tell us which way to go. All you have to do is listen to the still, small voice of God and it will guide you in making the right decisions.
There are so many distractions and competing voices that may tell you what to do. It can be easy to lose sight of what God wants for you. However, if you tune your spiritual ears to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, you can be sure that you are walking in the right direction.
The Holy Spirit acts as a personal counselor, leading you on the path that God has set before you. When you submit your will to God and allow Him to lead you, you can be confident that you are making the right choices in life.
Making decisions with the guidance of the Holy Spirit also brings peace and assurance. Even when the choices you make does not make sense to the world, you can trust in God’s wisdom and know that He has your best interests at heart.
So, the next time you find yourself struggling to make a decision, remember Isaiah 30:21 and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Trust that God will direct your steps and lead you on the path He has chosen for you.
