Reflection – Revelation 19:4-9 – The Holy Supper

Revelation 19:4-9

Verse – Revelation 19:4-9

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: “Amen, Hallelujah!” Then a voice came from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you, his servants, you who fear him, both great and small!”

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

Reflection – Revelation 19:4-9 – The Holy Supper

John gives us a little peek into God’s kingdom. He paints a picture of how God on His throne is serenaded forever and ever. How songs are sung for His glory and greatness and about how a wedding supper is about to take place. Those invited to this supper rush through like a great multitude to finally meet their Savior. Isn’t it lovely to know that our seats have already been saved for the big reunion with our Lord Jesus Christ? Let us keep walking in the holiness of our Lord so that our seats will remain saved.

There is a future for all those who receive and walk in Christ. There is a big reunion coming up and I am there. My seat is saved because my soul is saved and the Lord knows my name. I am on the list of invited guests. I will not do anything to change that.
