Verse – Romans 3:9
What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.
Reflection – Romans 3:9 – All have sinned
There are some who struggle to understand how God can judge anyone. If the Jews were the chosen people of God then what about those who displeased him? Are they saved automatically simply because they are Jews? No! Jew or gentile have all come under the power of the resurrection. The resurrection has cleaned the slate of all sin that deemed all humans unworthy of God’s love.
Do not be deceived by anyone. Your very birth out of your mother’s womb meant you are a descendant of disobedience. If that were not the case, then why would God even allow his children to take the form of flesh? Because the flesh must be left on earth with all its sinful nature so the clean spirit can be taken up to heaven just as Christ did for all of us.
Now, it is no longer beneficial to be called Jew or Gentile, but rather a righteous child of God. Our righteousness is now a result of God’s sacrifice of death for our sins so that we might not pay the debt of death. This is why judgment is necessary for all who are born in the flesh. So that the Lord will decide those who accepted his righteous spirit and did his will on earth so that he can stay together with them after judgment.
I am saved through the blood of Jesus.
Thank you for saving me from sin
Thank you for cleansing my spirit
Thank you for giving me the gift of righteousness
Let my ways be straight in your sight
Let my life be pleasing unto you
Keep me from my sinful desires
Grant me the grace to stay under your light
and let me never depart from you
