You know the saying that goes “to err is human”, this saying simply means that due to our human nature, we are bound to do something wrong one way or the other. This, however, doesn’t mean that you should intentionally hurt people and say to them you are human and to err is human.
This rather means that you should learn to forgive others who offend you because you are human and that means you can and might hurt someone too or even the very person who needs your forgiveness today.
Forgiving someone doesn’t come easy. It takes mercy and compassion to let go and forgive. The Bible has a lot of scriptures on how God is merciful and compassionate and how he forgives us all the time due to his merciful nature.
To be truly deserving of God’s mercy, you also have to show mercy on others. Just as God has mercy on you, you should also do the same for others. Below are some mercy bible verses to help you know and understand the mercy of God and how you can extend that mercy on others.

Prayer for mercy
Merciful God,
I come to you today in my anguish
Please have mercy on me and stretch forth your loving hands on me
Hear my cries, God, heal my pains, do not let the enemies triumph over me
Let the shower of your mercy fall on me and deliver me from evil
Please do not look at my many sins
But forgive me of all my unrighteousness and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus
Show me your mercy, Lord, and grant me your salvation
I beseech you to have pity on me and deliver me from my troubles
Fill my heart with your love and mercy,
So that I may be able to extend this mercy you have shown me to others.
I proclaim that your mercies and goodness will never leave me.
Show me your favor in all aspects of my life,
And fill my heart with gladness as you answer my prayers in accordance with your mercy.
Amen
