I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Wherever there is light there is clarity and direction. Living your life in Christ means living a life far away from deceit, sin, and all the attributes associated with the devil. Those who live in light do not fear darkness because they have nothing to hide. The life that emulates Christ is a happy and fulfilling life.
When you walk with the Lord, He abides in you and clears your path for you. When a Child walks with their father they have no fears. They know deep inside them that as long as they walk hand in hand, no evil shall befall them. They know that they are not alone and feel the love of their fathers each and every day. It is impossible to live your best life without emulating the life and likeness of Christ.
Remember that He is the spirit of God that roamed this earth in the flesh. That means that his life was an example of how god wants us to live on earth so we can join him in heaven when we die.
Living your best life in Christ is a journey that requires continual commitment, growth, and surrender. It is about aligning your thoughts, actions, and desires with the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. While this journey may have its challenges, it also promises fulfillment, purpose, and joy beyond measure.
Ultimately, living your best life in Christ is about surrendering your will to God and allowing Him to transform you from the inside out. While this journey may have its ups and downs, the abundant life that Christ promises is worth the commitment and sacrifice. So, step out in faith, trust in His plan, and embark on the incredible adventure of living your best life in Christ.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 8:12
Being the light of the world means you should set an example for people to follow. When people are in darkness for too long, their eyes become used to the darkness. They even find ways to survive in the darkness and accept their fates for what it is and not what the Lord wishes it to be for them.
Living your best life includes leading people to the Lord. Being the light that gives people a focal point and a clear direction to follow is the purpose for which Christ died for us. The reason why you are where you are is not to better yourself or make a living for yourself.
Remember God fed the people of Israel in the desert with Manna from heaven and water from rocks. That means God doesn’t require you to get a job before he can provide for you. The reason you are where you are is because He wants you to be a light unto others. He wants you to spread His living testimony to those in darkness so that they will not perish in their sins.
Living our best life can mean different things to different people. For some, it may involve achieving personal goals, pursuing happiness, or finding success in their careers. However, as Christians, we believe that real fulfillment and true joy can only be found in Christ.
Living our best life in Christ is not about seeking personal fame, wealth, or instant gratification. It is about surrendering our lives to God, seeking His guidance, and living in alignment with His will. When we cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus, embrace God’s Word, pray fervently, seek His kingdom first, and follow Christ’s example of love and service, we will discover a deeper sense of purpose, lasting joy, and meaningful life that truly glorifies Him.
How to live your best life
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:4-8
Seek a Personal Relationship with Jesus
To live our best life in Christ, we must begin by cultivating a personal relationship with Him. This starts with confessing our sins, accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and inviting Him into our lives. Through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers, we can deepen our understanding of who Jesus is and how He wants us to live.
Develop an intimate relationship with God: Building a close and personal relationship with God is essential to living a fulfilling life in Christ. Spend time daily in prayer, seeking His guidance, strength, and wisdom. Also, engage in reading and meditating on His Word, the Bible.
This will deepen your understanding of His character, His plan for your life, and His promises. As mentioned in the introduction, it is only through constant contact with the Father that one can live a fearful and fulfilling life.
Embrace the power of forgiveness
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matthew 6:14
Forgiveness is a virtue that Christ exemplified throughout His earthly ministry. Living your best life in Christ involves forgiving others and seeking forgiveness when you fall short. Not forgiving others can hinder your relationship with God and others, so choose to release resentment and extend grace to those who have wronged you.
In the Lord’s Prayer, we tell God to forgive us our sins just as we forgive those who sin against us. That means there is a conditional clause in there. Why do we pray for forgiveness when we aren’t willing to forgive those who wrong us?
Despite all we did and continue to do to offend God He still sent His son to bear our sins on the cross and be sacrificed instead of us. If we believe that our sins are washed away even though they were many and we couldn’t pay for them then we must be ready to forgive others also. If we find it hard to forgive others, then deep inside we must still believe that there is no way God has forgiven us so easily despite what we did against him.
Practice humility and gratitude
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.
Proverbs 22:4
Living your best life in Christ requires humility and thankfulness. Recognize that everything you have is a gift from God and cultivate a heart of gratitude. Remain humble in your accomplishments and seek to serve others with a genuine heart, following Jesus’ example of selflessness and love.
No matter what you have managed to acquire on this earth you must remember that it all belongs to God. You are merely a steward in charge of looking after His creation. All blessings are from God. We must therefore not laud it over others or be boastful but rather be humble and let others benefit from the blessings He has bestowed on us.
Cultivate a Christ-centered mindset
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isaiah 26:3
Develop a perspective that aligns with Christ’s teachings and values. Renew your mind daily by focusing on things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
Reject negative thoughts, and surround yourself with positive influences like uplifting music, encouraging friends, and inspiring literature. Let your life be one of positivity. Reject all the evil voices that tell you that you are not good enough.
The voices that try to bring up your past failures and your past wrongs as a way of getting you to belittle yourself or see yourself as unworthy must be cast aside. Christ has washed away your transgressions with his holy blood and therefore you do not have to pay for them. Block voices of suicide, and self-destruction and alloy Christ to work on you. Carry the mindset of Christ with you and he will deliver you from all your troubles.
Seek good company
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Proverbs 27:17
Surrounding yourself with like-minded believers is crucial in living your best life in Christ. Engage in a local church, small group, or Bible study where you can grow with fellow believers, receive support, and contribute to the body of Christ.
Fellowship and accountability are essential for spiritual growth and encouragement on this journey. People who are strong in Christ will encourage and admonish you when you are in doubt.
There are times you get a crisis of faith when you start to doubt everything you believe in. In these times it is important to surround yourself with the faithful in Christ.
You will always be shown a mirror containing your past and sinful life. Remember that those who constantly look behind them do not move forward as fast and as sure as they should. You must therefore be kindled in the spirit always through constant fellowship and worship with others in the presence and faith of God.

Understand that you have been uniquely designed by God for a specific purpose. Seek His guidance to discover your talents, passions, and strengths. Embrace opportunities to serve others and make a positive impact in your community. When you live in alignment with your purpose, you will experience a sense of fulfillment and joy that comes from living intentionally for Christ.
When the master in Jesus’s parable left his servants with the money and traveled, he blessed the ones who were productive with it and showed good stewardship. You must discover your God-given purpose in this life and fulfill it.
As mentioned before, the reason why you find yourself where you are right now is to be a light in that corner. There may be people there who might need the guidance and direction of God and need you to lead them out of their darkness.
Trust in God’s plan
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11
Living your best life in Christ does not guarantee a life free of challenges or suffering. However, it does promise that God is always with you, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Trust in His plan, even when circumstances don’t make sense.
Lean on His strength, knowing that He will provide and guide you through every season of life. God is the True Map of life. Following Him means that you will definitely get to your desired destination. Yes, there will be bumps on the road from time to time, but the most important thing for a Christian is to never be separated from God.
Embrace God’s Word
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4
The Bible is not just a historical document; it is a living guide for our lives as Christians. By studying and meditating on God’s Word, we gain wisdom, guidance, and encouragement. It equips us to make wise decisions, discern God’s will, and align our lives with His purposes.
As Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” God’s word is what should lead you in life. There will be thoughts and instincts going through your mind and your body. You will have different reactions and feelings to things that happen to you. You must rely on God’s word concerning all these feelings before you act on them.
Fixate on His word every morning before you step out into your daily routine. Let Him be your light. He will guide you away from all evil and set you on a victorious land. You will accomplish things you never knew you were capable of through His word. You must understand that human convictions and ways will always lead to trouble and destruction. The word of God will always lead to freedom and victory.
Cultivate a Life of Prayer
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26
Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. Through regular and sincere prayer, we can deepen our intimacy with Him, express our needs and desires, seek guidance and wisdom, and develop a heart aligned with His will.
Jesus Himself set an example of prayer, often going away to spend time with His Father. Prayer allows us to draw closer to God and experience His love and peace. A child that communicates with their father will never be lost. Even though God loves us and sees us at all times, He loves it when we willingly seek Him.
The fact that we are willing to trust and have faith in Him even though we do not physically see Him gives glory and honor to His name. God is innate and in everyone. Even atheists and people who do not believe in God still search inwardly for a breakthrough whenever they are in trouble.
It is only through constant prayer and communication with him that we can strengthen our faith and bond with God. Our spirits become one with His and we open many spiritual doors when we call on Him in prayer.
Seek God’s Kingdom First
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33
Living our best life in Christ involves aligning our priorities with God’s kingdom values. This means putting God at the center of our lives and seeking His will above our own desires. As we prioritize His kingdom, we experience the abundance of His blessings and find fulfillment in living for a higher purpose.
God’s kingdom should be your ultimate goal. Everything you do in your life should be to get into the kingdom of God. Let that be your motivation for everything. When someone wrongs you, think about the kingdom of God first.
Before you start your business or embark on a career, you must put God first in every decision you make. Do not forget that the very essence and source of life is God. That means He is everything anyway. So if you want all things to work together for your good then you must put His kingdom first.
Follow Christ’s Example of Love and Service
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:1
Jesus came to serve, not to be served. He demonstrated love, humility, and compassion in all He did. As His followers, we are called to imitate His example. By serving others, showing kindness, and demonstrating genuine love, we bring glory to God and make a positive impact on the world around us. Living a selfless life not only blesses others but also brings us joy and fulfillment.
Let Christ be the mirror of your life. Read the Bible and learn how Christ reacted to all that was thrown his way. The challenges that are thrown at us on earth were also thrown at him even though he lived without sin, yet he overcame the world. We must always strive to be Christ-like by being one with his spirit.
