Reflections – His Love Is Everlasting – Psalm 103:15-17

The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him and his righteousness with their children’s children. Psalm 103:15-17

Reflections – Psalm 103:15-17 – His love is everlasting

It is comforting to know that God understands the weakness of man. The fact that he loves and cares for us despite our flaws should bring joy to us all. When we know that our earthly fathers love us and will do anything it takes to make us happy we try as much as possible to stay on their good side.

Even when we disappoint them we feel so ashamed and long for the day that they forgive and trust us again. God expects the same from his children. He is so compassionate and accepting of us. This means that as his children we should always look to please him and stay under his feet so he keeps blessing us and our children’s children.

I will try each day with all my strength to please my Lord who loves me unconditionally. Despite my flaws, I will live to do what is right in the sight of my lord. I will not be deceived by the devil. I will hold fast unto the love of my maker and make him proud to call me his child.

Prayer

Dear Lord
I bless your holy name
Thank you for loving me in my weakness
Thank you for the daily gifts I receive despite my flaws
I pray for your strength to hold steadfast to my salvation
Help me not stray from under your feet
But let me stay and worship you in spirit and in truth forever
Amen
