Reflection – Acts 17:24-25 – We Serve The True God

Acts 17:24-25

Verse – Acts 17:24-25

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.

Reflection – Acts 17:24-25 – We Serve The True God

Paul was talking to the people of Athens here about how they were worshipping gods made of earthly materials and how they bared no names. Some people are comfortable relying on things they can see. They put their faith in their property and in human beings because those things are tangible and visible.

Paul draws their attention to the fact that you cannot worship something that has been made or created. It is rather rational to worship the source of everything that we see including ourselves.

This teaches us that there is more power in God than any other thing we possess on earth simply because he has the power to make and destroy everything that we see. We must therefore be in tune with our creator and worship him for who he is.

Heavenly Father
Let me stay in your house forever
