Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous

Marriage is a sacred union in the eyes of God. When two people join together in marriage, they are no longer separate individuals but one flesh. Getting married requires a lifelong commitment to love, care, forgive, support, and be faithful to your spouse.
This is why marriage requires a long and hard look at one’s self before engaging in the lifelong journey. Getting married for the wrong reasons is not only detrimental to you but to your spouse as well.
Knowing that you are sacrificing a lifetime of happiness for something material or physically beneficial is an injustice and selfish behavior.
If you do not care about your happiness, at least consider your spouse and realize that they do not deserve to be hurt.
We have a spiritual responsibility to guard our hearts and bodies against being taken over by impure thoughts and evil motives so that we do not act on them. The bible tells us to flee temptation because even though our minds may be tough enough to resist temptation, our bodies simply aren’t.
As Christians, we must simply not engage in adulterous and fornication acts. These acts cause us to create new commitments with people we are not bonded with in the eyes of God.
To some, it may be just a nice time but to God and our spirits, we are forming spiritual unions we do not understand. Your body is a temple of God and he requires that you keep it sacred for him and not tarnish it with improper conduct.
God has given us the strength to resist and flee from temptation and we must use this strength. We must be focused on the things of the spirit so that the body does not take dominion over the spirit. When your spirit has dominion over the body, the body follows where the spirit leads it to.
Committing adultery causes the spiritual union formed with your spouse to be contaminated. There is a new spirit that is introduced between you and if care is not taken your union may be on the rocks further destroying everything you have built together.
This is the reason God admonishes us to keep ourselves pure and faithful. Adulterers are never satisfied with what they are committed to and cannot inherit God’s kingdom.
God expects his children to be committed to him and not go chasing after other gods and he expects his committed children to be faithful to their spouses and not chase after other people regardless of what benefits we might want from them.
Only faithful people have the traits of God and we must strive to be faithful in our marriages.

Dear Lord

I pray that you change her mind and break her from this habit
Give her self control
Do not allow her to break our family

Marriage is a union that is formed in heaven. God expects us to honor those commitments the same way we claim to honor him. Adultery is the devil’s way of intruding in a marriage. It’s his way of shaming us to God and telling him how imperfect and corrupt we are.
We must not allow ourselves to be used by the devil. We must be strong and make the lord proud of us. Let God reign in your marriage and share all your happy times and sad times together. This is how we can please God.
And He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her; and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery.
