- Hoping Against Hope
- Day 1 – What God Promises His Children
- Day 2- Why We Believe In His Promises
- Day 3 – Overcoming Obstacles With Hope
- Day 4 – Never Give Up Hope
- Day 5 – Hope Is Your Faint Signal For Victory
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11
Before you hope for anything you must understand what future God has in store for you. He declares that his plans for you are meant to prosper and not harm you.
With every step you take, you must understand that God wants you to be victorious and prosperous in the end.
God is your Hope of glory because being in Him means that He is in you and walks with you each step of the way in your life.
God wants you to know in your heart that His strength abides for you. No matter how difficult the road has been or looks ahead. He reminds you that He will always restore you and strengthen you.
”But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you”
1 Peter 5:10
You can see here that Hope is empty without a promise at the end. When you hope you expect redemption of God’s promises to you.
Ask yourself, are these promises worth hoping for? Are they going to take me out of my suffering and turmoil? The answer is yes. God is a faithful God.
When you know the price, in the end, is worth it, you don’t mind doing the difficult work in the beginning. Fixate on these promises and be determined in your heart to follow God’s path no matter what may attempt to sway you away from His plans for you.
It is only when you endure in Hope that you will succeed in reaching your goals. Do not lose hope in God’s promises because He will fulfill them.
Prayer
Merciful Lord,
I trust in your word. I know that my existence is no coincidence and I know You have a purpose for my life. I know that your plan for me is to be prosperous. Help me keep these promises in my heart. Grant me the patience to wait on you for direction. Let me stay still for you and not try to depend on my own understanding. Let me trust in you and hold your hand when it gets dark. Thank you, Father, for your plans for my life.
Amen
