40 Bible Verses About Honoring Others

To honor someone means to treat them with respect. Usually, when someone hears “respect someone”, they try to find a reason why they should respect the person.

Is he/she older than me? Is he/she in a higher position than me? Is he/she richer than me? These are some of the things people look out for before respecting others. This means that if the person is younger, poor, or in a lower position than them, then they don’t see the fit to be respected.

But the Bible teaches us to honor all, not just those in authority. We are all God’s creation and we were made in God’s image. So every person, you meet is deserving of your respect and your honor. Whether they are rich or poor, young or old, male or female. It shouldn’t matter what they are, you should just honor them.

Below are some bible verses about honor and honoring others to remind how and why you should honor others.
