Flowers are beautiful and they make everything beautiful. Whether it’s a garden, a room or even an outfit, flowers bring in colors and make everything beautiful. But although flowers are beautiful, they don’t last forever just like other things in nature. The bible talks a lot about flowers to let us know that not all forms of beauty are important.
In todays world, most people are after the beauty of life but they don’t actually know what is beautiful in life. Some people associate beauty with outward appearance and the good things in life but the word of God let us know that all these things are fleeting and as such are all vanity. Instead to know beauty is to know the word of God and to be beautiful is to apply the word in your life.
We’ll take a look at some bible verses about flowers to help us understand what the bible says about flowers and what we can learn from the beauty of flowers.
Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.
Luke 12:27-28
Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
Isaiah 28:1
Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valleys, To those who are overcome with wine!
Isaiah 40:6
The voice said, “Cry out!” And he said, “What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.
James 1:10-11
But the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.
Song of Solomon 1:14

Psalm 103:14-15
For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
1 Peter 1:23-24

Isaiah 18:4-5

1 Kings 6:29

Job 15:31-33

Hosea 14:5-6
